Kept you waiting, didn’t I?
Now—
Let’s go save the world!
*What kind of game is it?
Avilion is an easy-to-pick-up turn-based role-playing game.
Its biggest features are the Avatar Rental System and the Action Slot System!
You begin by creating your own avatar and enrolling in the academy. There are no fixed story-based party members—you can freely choose your companions from among the hundreds of unique students who attend the school.
Battles are fought by setting skills (physical techniques and magic) into your Action Slots. Since the number of slots is limited, your choices truly matter: which skills you learn and equip, and which allies—each with their own skill sets—you bring along.
It’s simple enough to play with one hand, yet offers deep strategic gameplay.
There are plenty of other fun elements as well:
• Auto-Mapping, which fills in maps as you explore
• Hidden Ancient Chests that appear in dungeons and contain rare items
• Fearsome Demon Gods you can challenge by collecting special coins
…And much more!
The story begins with small happenings around the academy, but from Chapter 2 onward, you’ll travel across the world to solve major crises.
Each chapter has its own beginning and ending, with a boss waiting in every new region—making each chapter feel like a complete RPG adventure of its own.
*History
Maho Gakuen Avilion originally launched in 2004 as an official i-mode title on NTT Docomo, before social games became mainstream in Japan. It was a groundbreaking multiplayer RPG app for its time.
Players could borrow each other’s characters as allies, exchange messages, trade items, and enjoy new story chapters released over a long period.
Its ahead-of-its-time systems earned it top rankings in gaming magazines, making it a major hit.
And of course, the unforgettable story of the academy—led by Headmistress Tryamour—was filled with comedy, heartfelt moments, and shocking twists. Many players found themselves completely drawn into the world of Avilion.
However, as feature phone platforms and services gradually came to an end, Avilion itself had to say goodbye in 2013—much to the sadness of many fans.
Now, bearing the name “forever”, Avilion has miraculously returned.
We hope you enjoy this beloved world once again!

Long ago, in a distant land, there existed four kingdoms:
Ukbar, Philaris, Anya, and Evarchia.
For many years, the realm knew peace under the rule of these four kingdoms.
But at last, that peace was shattered.
The demonic host—once driven to the ends of the earth in ancient times—rose again and struck the northern kingdom of Ukbar.
Its royal castle fell in an instant, and Philaris soon followed.
Thus ended the Age of Four Kingdoms, and a new era, later known as the Twilight, began.
Seeking to regroup, the kings crossed the sea to the small island nation of Avilion.
There, they encountered a miracle—
the young warrior who would one day be called the Hero-King, Helde.
Raising his banner on Avilion, Helde crossed to the continent and crushed the demonic forces that had invaded Evarchia.
Recognizing his brilliance, the four kings issued royal decree:
Helde was granted command of the united armies of the Four Kingdoms.
The miracles did not end there.
As Helde marched, knights who had been scattered returned to his side one after another.
Not only knights—any who could bear a weapon came to fight beneath his banner.
Thus, the Four Kingdoms regained the strength to stand against the demon army.
The war raged back and forth, but in time, the united forces began to prevail.
At the foot of the sacred Mount Walpurgis, the demon army was surrounded and defeated.
Its commander—the Shadow King—fled with his elite guard to the mountain’s peak.
Helde left the main army at the base and pursued the Shadow King with only his finest warriors.
The battle on the thunder-split mountain lasted three days and three nights.
At its end, both commanders fell:
The Shadow King’s blade pierced Helde’s heart—yet in the same moment, Helde struck off the Shadow King’s head.
The remaining demon forces, leaderless, were hunted down and driven once more to the world’s farthest reaches.
The war was over. The Four Kingdoms survived—barely.
To honor Helde’s deeds, the kings built a mausoleum upon the summit of Mount Walpurgis and laid his body to rest there.
Peace returned.
But the scars of the war were deep, and the threat of the demon host was not truly gone.
Thus, with the cooperation of all nations, a new vision was conceived:
A place to train those who would stand against the darkness—
the Avilion Academy.
It was founded twenty years ago.
Now, in the age of Twilight…
Will the academy be the dawn that breaks the darkness?

Academy Q&A
▼I want to change the position of the directional pad
You can change the left/right position and size of the directional pad using the UI switch button (◀▶) at the bottom of the screen.
▼What should I do when I want to end the game?
Please save or abort from the save menu. If you force quit the app, your game data will be lost and the next time you start, the data will be the last saved data.
▼How can you tell the difference between an avatar and an NPC (character)?
The names displayed above avatars that can be invited to join a group (companion) are blue, while the names of other NPCs (characters) are green. Talking to NPCs may trigger events.
▼How do I recover my stamina?
You can recover your health at the infirmary or inn, or by using items such as Red Nectar or the Mystic's Heal skill.
▼How do I learn skills and magic?
You can learn skills by talking to your homeroom teacher at the school. The proficiency required to learn skills can be increased through battles and lessons that can be taken four times a day (reset at 4:00, 10:00, 16:00, and 22:00).
Additionally, taking lessons will grant you a "Battle Bonus Effect" for a short time, and a "+SP" icon will appear in your status. While this effect is active, the proficiency gained in battle will be increased by 1.5 times.
▼What happens when HP reaches 0 in battle?
You will lose some experience points when you faint, but you will not lose a level.
▼Is it better to form a group?
You can adventure and fight alone, but if you invite companions of various classes with different characteristics to form a "group," you can defeat even powerful enemies. However, the fewer companions you have, the more experience points you will gain, and the higher the level of companions, the less experience points you will gain. It is a good idea to start with four companions of about the same level, and try out various group configurations depending on the strength of the enemies.
▼I want to easily gather group members
You can talk to avatars walking around the school and make them your allies, but if you go to the Student Affairs Office, they will introduce you to avatars in your specified class who are at a similar level to you.
The Student Affairs Office is a shed in the school courtyard, at the end of the hall to the left of the fountain.
▼What is the "back row" during battle?
In battle, both allies and enemies form formations, with the side closest to the enemy being the "front row" and the side furthest from the enemy being the "back row." When it's your turn to input an action, you can change the formation by pressing the "back row" or "front row" soft key button.
From the front row, it is easier to attack the opponent's front row with a sword or other melee attack, but melee attacks on the opponent's back row will deal less damage.
It is a good idea to move allies with low HP to the back row and attack the enemy back row with bows or magic.
▼Can I use my teammates' items?
Actions are registered in the action slots, so when you select an item for an ally in a battle command, your own item will be used.
▼What can you do in your own room?
The building in the northeast of the school courtyard is the student dormitory. Each student is assigned their own room, where they can do various things, such as:
・Change avatar color
・Class change
・Item Storage
・Action shout settings
・Title switching
▼What happens to my level and experience points when I change classes?
The first time you change to a class, you will be at level 1. Items, Guineas, and grade will be carried over. If you change back to your original class, your level and experience will also return to their original state. You can change classes from the "Settings" menu in your room.
▼Quests do not occur Levels can sometimes be a factor in whether or not a quest occurs. If a quest does not occur, try raising your level.
▼ Enemies are too strong, experience points are low You may have a hard time fighting high-level enemies. Also, fighting low-level enemies will give you less experience points. Use the Scout skill "Scan" to check the enemy's level and find enemies that are at your level.
▼ Guineas can no longer be obtained from battles You can no longer obtain guineas from enemies that are 10 levels or more lower than your allies. Also, guineas are halved for enemies that are 6 to 9 levels lower.
▼The level can no longer be increased. The maximum level is 60.
▼Proficiency no longer increases There is a limit to total proficiency (the sum of proficiency in acquired skills and current proficiency), which is limited to half of the experience points.
▼ Attack power has decreased If you remove a mastery skill or equip a weapon that is different from the mastery, your attack power will decrease. Also, since bare hands have power, the difference in weapon power will be reflected in your attack power.
▼You have an avatar with 6 or more action slots. Action slots can be expanded in quests from Chapter 4 onwards.
▼What is the "Ancient Key" obtained by defeating an enemy used for?
In dungeons located throughout the world, mysterious treasure chests called "Ancient Treasure Chests" may appear. These treasure chests can only be opened with an "Ancient Key," and may contain rare items.
Once opened, all old treasure chests will disappear, but they will reappear in new locations after you resume, enter or exit the school, or move between chapter areas, four times a day (reset at 4:00, 10:00, 16:00, and 22:00).
